Purity, quality, innovation
Epax® oil is a high quality crude oil, fit for human consumption, GMO free. Once the oil is refined, it is purified to remove all environmental pollutants. A gentle enzymatic treatment reduces the risk of oxidising by-products and trans fatty acids.
Epax® is committed to producing ultra-pure Omega-3 ingredients and to complying with the strictest legislation in terms of purity, while seeking to go even further. Patented processing methods implemented by EPAX® allow the oils to reach an unequalled level of purity, from 60 to 95% higher than current standards.
Our TGN range represents a premium form of TG oils with a minimum of 90% triglycerides, minimising the content of other glycerides and ethyl ester residues. TGN oils are deodorised to obtain a better organoleptic profile.
Epax® oils certified Friend of the Sea®
Friend of the Sea® is the leading certification standard for products and services that respect and protect the marine environment. The certification attributes sustainable practices in areas such as fishing and omega-3 fish oil, among others.
The Friend of the Sea® criteria for sustainable nutraceutical products require :
- Well-managed sources of fish oil and fish meal ingredients
- Traceability
- Social responsibility

Stability and quality
For your innovative formulas, we select quality vegetable and marine oils. We offer a range of concentrated lipids whose durability (X.O. process), traceability and in-depth quality systems are guaranteed.
We offer fish oils but also seaweed and vegetable oils. We develop formulas as well as flavoured drinking oils.
Patented process for the stability of oils
Seanova has developed a process to fight against the oxidation of lipids by amply increasing their stability. This thus makes it possible to preserve the nutritional and organoleptic qualities and lifespan of oils (marine and vegetable): the X.O® process.
Lipid oxidation is an irreversible chemical alteration caused by the presence of metals, oxygen, acidity, chlororophyll, water or light and acting on the double bonds of unsaturated fatty acids. Oils rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids are therefore more prone to this oxidation phenomenon.
Seanova, through its expertise in the field of lipids, uses the X.O® process to reinforce the stability of oils by enriching them with natural antioxidants.
The X.O® process guarantees the stability of polyunsaturated fatty acids according to the Rancimat Test (accelerated oxidability test which estimates the time of resistance to oxidation – standardised ISO 6886):
- Marine oils: omega 3 (EPA and DHA)
- Vegetable oils: omega 6 and omega 3 (alpha-linolenic acid)
